AVERAGE CARGO LOSS IN APRIL WAS €170,835

April was a costly month in terms of cargo crime in the EMEA region, resulting in the highest average loss of the year so far of €170,835.

Last month, TAPA EMEA’s Incident Information Service (IIS) recorded 139 new cargo crimes. The average loss is based on the 38 or 27.3% of the reported thefts providing a value.

The combined loss of these 38 incidents was €6,491,767 and included seven major cargo thefts with a recorded value in excess of €100,000.
