SECURE PARKING PROGRAMME TO FOCUS ON A NEW INDUSTRY STANDARD AND PARTNERSHIPS WITH LIKE-MINDED STAKEHOLDERS

Data from TAPA EMEA’s Incident Information Service (IIS) continues to support the widely-held view that Manufacturers and Logistics Service Providers need more measurable and credible secure parking locations across the region.

Intelligence for Q2 2016 shows a total of 251 cargo crimes occurring at Unsecured Parking locations in EMEA, while data for the whole of 2015 showed 866 freight thefts or attempted thefts at Unsecured Parking locations, representing 57.2% of all incidents. In addition, there were 50 crimes at supposedly Secure Parking locations last year.
