TAPA EMEA WELCOMES NEWLY-ELECTED ADVISORY BOARD MEMBERS AND ADDS TWO NEW RECRUITS TO ITS FULL-TIME TEAM

TAPA EMEA members have elected its Advisory Board to help support the continued growth of the Association, the delivery of more member benefits, and the evolution to a full-time leadership team led by President & CEO, Thorsten Neumann.

The four Advisory Board electees are:

· Marcel Saarloos of HP Inc. – Chair of TAPA EMEA

· Mark Grüntjes of Boehringer Ingelheim Corporate Center GmbH – Vice Chair

· Björn Hartong of Zurich Insurance - Treasurer

· Paul Linders of CEVA Logistics – Officer at Large

Marcel, Mark, Björn and Paul join the previously appointed AB members:

· Gilad Solnik of Amazon

· Michael Schmidt of Volkswagen

· Frank Ewald of Deutsche Post DHL Group

Thorsten Neumann said: “As we continue to establish our full-time professional team, the outstanding industry knowledge and expertise of our Advisory Board will be vital in helping us set and deliver our strategic objectives. I am extremely excited to be working alongside such a great team who all share the same commitment to TAPA’s role as the leading security expert network for everyone in the supply chain. With their support, we can look forward to another phase of strong growth, which will benefit our record membership across EMEA.”

MARK GRUENTJES - BOEHRINGER INGELHEIM CORPORATE CENTER GMBH

'It has been both an honour and exciting to be able to support TAPA throughout these years, helping to develop our Standards, secure mutual recognition agreements, and to watch them become the world’s leading supply chain security standards. They secure all our supply chains and improve our overall resilience towards the many existing and evolving threats in today’s world. I now want to continue this journey and support TAPA in the coming three years with all of the exciting changes and challenges that are on the horizon.'

PAUL LINDERS - CEVA LOGISTICS

'I joined TAPA on day 1 in the year 2000 and have served as a member of the Board of Directors in TAPA EMEA since 2002. By working within the TAPA organisation over the last 20 years, I have gained experience within various functions, including Membership Lead, FSR Lead, Training Lead and, since 2005, as global Chair of the World Wide Change Control Board. With this knowledge and experience, and my personal commitment to TAPA, I will continue to support our members in the best way possible to achieve our future growth ambitions.'

Thorsten Neumann also announced two new full-time appointments to the TAPA EMEA team, who have both previously served the Association with distinction in voluntary roles. Ap Boom takes the post of Chief Financial & Compliance Officer, while Markus Prinz becomes Senior Manager, Trainings & Standards. Next month’s Vigilant will include interviews with Ap and Markus on their new roles.
